JAC Trucks

  JAC Motors was founded on September 30, 1999 on the basis of the Jianghuai Automobile Plant, founded in 1964 and today JAC Motors is a modern, high-tech enterprise. In 2001, JAC listed its shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

 

JAC is an integrated enterprise producing under an independent brand a full range of vehicles - light, medium and heavy trucks, minivans, cars, electric vehicles, buses, special chassis, forklifts and other types of equipment, as well as transmissions for cars, engines, auto parts, auto units.

JAC's 50 years of development experience has enabled it to achieve a production capacity of more than 1 million full-cycle vehicles per year. The company has become one of the ten largest enterprises in the automotive industry in China.

JAC is a supplier of equipment for the Chinese Armed Forces.

In June 2005, the company opened an overseas design center in Italy as the first in the industry, and established a second design center in Tokyo in October 2006. The company has its own center for technological development and research, a testing ground and an engineering laboratory complex.

The volume of car exports is more than 70 thousand units with an annual increase of 50% on average. For 18 years in a row, JAC has ranked first in the export of special chassis for passenger buses, for 13 years in the first place in the export of light commercial vehicles. The main sales markets are South America, the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia. All supplied JAC equipment complies with the strict requirements of the environmental standards of these countries.

To date, JAC Motors has organized assembly plants with varying degrees of production localization in more than 15 countries.

In the domestic market, the company occupies one of the first places in the sale of heavy trucks with a production volume of more than 60 thousand units per year.

JAC's multifunctional commercial vehicles have won the honorable title of "China's Best MPV of the Year" for several years in a row, and consistently won the title in terms of sales volume. The class B passenger car, which was designed in cooperation with the PININFARINA design studio, was named “the most beautiful car in the last ten years”, passed the C-NCAP crash test with honors, and received the honorary award “Best Model of 2011”. Self-developed engines for the 1.3LVVT, 1.5LVVT and 2.0LTCI passenger car line have been awarded China's Top Ten Engines three times (2009, 2010 and 2011).

 

The S3 is the flagship of the Chinese SUV market and is one of the top three urban crossovers in China.

 

One of the new areas of the Company's activity is the production of vehicles using alternative fuels. To date, more than 10,000 units of sixth-generation electric vehicles are already in operation on the roads of China, with a range of about 250 kilometers. In 2017, the production of seventh-generation electric vehicles with a range of 350 km was launched.
