The History of KUHN mowers
Mounted KUHN GMD mowers are the leading forage mowers of today. The mowers are designed specifically to work in conditions of even more intensive use. Expansion of the mowing area, increase in working speeds, increase in the speed of crossings at a transport speed (reaching mainly speeds of 40 and even 50 km / h) - the GMD 100 mounted mower can easily cope with these tasks.
Smooth lifting of the implement at the end of the field. The GMD 240-350 are equipped with a hydraulic limiter to limit the lifting of the mowers when passing over swaths. The smooth lifting of the unit reduces the influence of mechanical loads.
The GMD 100 series mowers are more resistant to loads thanks to a reinforced hitch that can carry up to 70% more loads than other mowers in this class.
To ensure durability, KUHN has developed a new design of the protective cover, which was specially created for the GMD 350 mower.
Mowing on slopes and inclinations is ensured by the kinematics of the machine's articulation. Depending on the model, the tilt angle can be up to 35° up and 25° down.
Switching to transport position from the cab. To switch to the transport position, the GMD 240-350 models can be equipped with a hydraulic rotary mechanism, thanks to which the transition from working to transport mode becomes as convenient and fast as possible. You will see this when working in small fields.
FAST-FIT discs. GMD 240, 280, 310 and 350 mowers can be equipped with FAST-FIT blades. To reduce maintenance costs, the knife bolt and leaf spring can be replaced separately. Everything is thought out in the design to provide reliability equivalent to that of bolted fastening.

The special helical shape ensures a high quality cut.
Complete safety of operation: forged intermediate and driving gears with large diameter and reinforced teeth - endurance even in the most adverse conditions.
Durability: The gear shafts of the discs are mounted on durable ball bearings housed in monoblock housings that do not lend themselves to deformation.
There is no risk of wear and tear.
The entire unit is securely sealed. Uses a large diameter sealed ring for the cutterbar gearbox and a special sealed rubber gasket between both cutterbar pans.
