The History of Manitex Crane

The history of Manitex began more than 20 years ago - in 1987 - with the production of cranes for drilling platforms installed in the Gulf of Mexico. Subsequently, in 1989, mass production of telescopic truck cranes was launched. Today, the company is one of the leading manufacturers of hydraulic telescopic boom cranes in the North American market.

The design office and the main assembly plant are located in Georgetown, Texas. In 2003, Manitex International Corporation entered the US stock exchange NASDAQ (under the index MNTX), which significantly affected the increase in investment in the production of its products. (Manitex is the second largest telescopic boom truck crane manufacturer in North America.)

At present, the range of manufactured equipment consists of telescopic truck cranes of various carrying capacities used in the housing and communal, oil and gas industries, the energy sector, forestry and the mining industry; tower cranes of universal application and a range of various loaders.

Mobile cranes Manitex S-6 5002-S-50155S

Jib automobile crane Manitex, series 5002 with a lifting capacity of 45.4 tons with a main boom length of 47.2 m (59.1 with an extension), is mounted on an automobile chassis of Russian and foreign production with wheel arrangements 8x4, 8x8. The use of modern technologies and light-alloy materials in the design of the truck crane made it possible to reduce the total weight to 31.7 tons (in the maximum configuration), which makes it possible to move on public roads without any restrictions. The truck crane has all the necessary permits for operation in temperature conditions from +40 to -40 degrees. The five-section telescopic boom, made of Swedish Weldox steel, is synchronously extended by one hydraulic cylinder and a rope chain hoist system, which allows you to increase the load capacity on long-range departures (39.6 m with the main boom and 42.7 m with an extension). The crane has a standard working area of 360 degrees, constant rotation. To increase the space under the boom, the crane is equipped with a 2-section telescopic boom extension with a variable angle of inclination (0-15-30 degrees). The required oil temperature is maintained by means of a radiator.
