The History of CASE Excavator

CASE was founded in the USA in 1842 by inventor Jerome Increase Case.

The world's first backhoe loader was introduced by CASE in 1957, and as of 2005, a total of 500 thousand machines of this type were manufactured. To date, the number of produced CASE backhoe loaders is approaching 750 thousand. Thus, the company is the largest manufacturer of such equipment.

CASE brand backhoe loaders are the best-selling in their class, with nearly three-quarters of a million units sold worldwide to date.

The digging depth with the “telescope” extended is 5.42 m for the 580T model, and 5.81 m for the 695ST. Bucket capacity is from 0.01 to 0.36 cubic meters. CASE backhoe loaders have a unique Extendahoe telescopic stick extension system.

Outwardly, these backhoe loaders are very easy to distinguish from each other. The 580T has small diameter front wheels, while the 695ST has large diameter wheels, the same as the rear ones. At the same time, all four wheels of the last car are steerable. They can be used in one of three modes. The first is standard, when only the front wheels turn. The second is the track-to-track movement, for which the front wheels turn in one direction, and the rear wheels in the other. And finally, the third mode is the so-called crab move: all four wheels look in one direction, which allows the car to move sideways.

The machines differ in the hydraulic system. Model 580T has a gear pump with a capacity of 151 l / min. And on the 695ST, the pump is axial piston, with a capacity of 6 to 165 l / min.

CASE backhoe loaders have a unique telescopic stick extension system. On conventional backhoe loaders, its inner part extends, with a bucket, and here, on the contrary, the outer one. What does it give? When we need to move, for example, a stone, a block or some kind of log, the operator simply presses this object against the boom with a bucket and moves it in the right direction. And in a conventional "telescope" the inside is not protected from such actions. It was CASE who, for the first time in the world, used an arrow of a similar design on its backhoe loaders, which has the name Extendahoe.

We should especially note that CASE was the first in the world to offer the Ride Control floating boom system on backhoe loaders. Let's say an ordinary excavator with a full bucket is driving, and if the road surface is uneven, then it is thrown up and down. And the hydraulic accumulator softens shocks, makes it possible for the bucket to “float”.

As standard, the rear handle is equipped with a quick-release mechanism. This allows you to change a bucket or other attachment in just a minute.
