The History of Grimme combine

Grimme is a German manufacturer of a full line of potato, beet and vegetable equipment. The Grimme group of companies, in addition to the main plant Grimme Landmaschinenfabrik in Damm (Factory No. 1) and Risto (Factory No. 2), also includes the North American manufacturer of potato machinery Spudnik, the German manufacturer of beet machinery Kleine and the Danish manufacturer of vegetable machinery ASA- LIFT. In the field of potato, beet and vegetable machinery, the Grimme group of companies offers a production program that includes more than 150 machine variants.

Today, the Grimme Group has more than 1,600 employees worldwide, 1,200 of whom work in Damme, at the agricultural machinery plant and at local subsidiaries.

Cars are sold in more than 120 countries of the world thanks to specialized dealers. Our own sales and service subsidiaries are located in the most important regions of Great Britain, France, Denmark, Poland, Ireland, the Netherlands, the USA, China, Belgium and Turkey.

The Grimme group also includes companies located in Damme, Internorm and Ricon (sales of spare parts for equipment working with root crops).

At the factory in Damme, all cars are produced, excluding self-propelled cars. 12 km from the main plant, in the Lower Saxony Park, in 2012, a second plant was built on an area of 24 hectares for the assembly of self-propelled machines and transporters of various types.

The main plant carries out full metal processing (laser cutting, edge finishing), bending, painting, as well as preliminary and final assembly. A modern logistics center with a fully automatic multi-level warehouse supplies all points with parts on time and as needed. In addition, the test development department, administrative building and training center are located on an area of 15 hectares. In 2000, the Technicom exhibition pavilion was built, equipped with modern presentation and meeting rooms, as well as a large exhibition area for the presentation of machines.
