Chinese Truck Manufacturer CAMC Celebrates 40th Anniversary - CAMC Anhui Hualing Automobile's manufacturing facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art top-class equipment, making it one of the most important manufacturing and R&D centers for commercial vehicles in China.
The assembly lines of Anhui Hualing Automobile are equipped in technological cooperation with the Japanese corporation Mitsubishi. The cooperation agreement between Anhui Hualing Automobile and Mitsubishi FUSO was concluded for a ten-year period, during which both the development of new car models and the modernization of production equipment are planned.
The Japanese company Kawasaki equipped the stamping shop with a 5,000-tonne press, which makes it possible to produce a truck frame from a billet in one blow. The welding shop is equipped with 13 robots that provide welding of the cabin without the participation of manual labor. Painting of CAMC car parts is carried out in the Sames painting booth (France) using a technology that guarantees protection against corrosion of the truck cab for up to 12 years.
The success of Anhui Hualing Automobile has been repeatedly awarded with Chinese state awards. Thus, the CAMC brand was awarded as one of the "Most Promising Self-Developed Brands in China". In August 2006, the State Ministry of Commerce, Development and Reform included Anhui Hualing Automobile in the list of "44 Chinese Automotive Export Enterprises with Full Localization".
CAMC vehicles are equipped with various engines and transmission units, the choice of which is quite wide. The customer can choose Japanese Mitsubishi engines, American Caterpillar C13 and C9 engines, as well as Chinese CUMMINS M11 or L series engines.
The technical and economic indicators of CAMC vehicles are superior to those of many Russian brands. Considering the low level of prices for Chinese spare parts, the purchase of Chinese trucks, their operation and maintenance in terms of profitability become more efficient than those for European and many East Asian car brands of the same class. CAMC vehicles are guaranteed for 2 years or 50,000 km. At the same time, CAMC spare parts have a long resource. For example, licensed CUMMINS units have a longer residual life than a ZIL engine. The environmental class of Chinese trucks is also important, which currently corresponds to Euro-4.
