The History of Gehl Excavator
Komatsu will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2021. Today it is hard to believe that a corporation with a turnover of tens of billions of euros started with a small repair shop. The history of the company began in 1921, when Komatsu Iron Works was renamed Komatsu Ltd. 10 years later, a powerful caterpillar tractor was produced, and in 1947 the first bulldozer appeared.
Every year, the Japanese company continued to increase its capacity. A new page in history began in 1955, when Komatsu made its first international sale of road construction equipment. In the next 5 years, Komatsu sales outlets opened in many countries in Europe and Asia, as well as in the USA.
The main activity that made Komatsu recognizable in the market is the production of high-quality special equipment. It is widely used in road construction, mining industry. Komatsu also specializes in the production of electronics and industrial equipment.
Komatsu products can be divided into 2 classes: construction and warehouse equipment. Let's look at each of these categories:
Construction, mining equipment. This includes vehicles and construction equipment such as bulldozers, Komatsu excavators, pipelayers, dump trucks, wheel and track loaders, skid steer models, graders and crushers.
Warehouse equipment. Consists of forklifts running on diesel or gasoline, electric forklifts, manipulators.
Excavators
Each model has an average size, versatility, so that you can develop the breed, load it into a truck.
Wheel excavators
An alternative to caterpillars, especially in urban areas. Modifications: PW160, PW180, PW200, PW220.
Backhoe loaders
Are intended for movement of breed by a ladle. We meet: WB93R-5, WB93S-5, WB97S-5.
mini cars
Mini excavators are optimal for small construction sites or work in confined spaces. Examples: PC35MR-3, PC55MR-3.
Equipment with front loaders
Front loaders are really heavy equipment designed to move rock into dumps. Commonly used: WA150-5, WA380-6, WA600-3, WA800-3, WA1200-3.
