The History of Caterpillar Excavator

Caterpillar was founded in 1925 and for almost a century this manufacturer of high-class reliability special equipment has managed to grow to a leading position in the global market. The brand has become a flagship and one of the trendsetters in engineering fashion for heavy construction and mining equipment, as well as for compact maneuverable mini-equipment for various purposes.

Since 1908, the active development of the company made it possible to launch the first line of gasoline-powered tractors, and soon to acquire a combine production plant and another factory in Illinois, which became the headquarters of Caterpillar, remaining there until now.

The plant started in 1994, when the company started joint production of components for various types of excavators. In December of the same year, the first base frame was shipped to the Caterpillar assembly plant in Europe.

The first products were components for excavators and other earth-moving equipment, which were exported to the company's enterprises in Europe. In August 2008, the plant started production of model 320 tracked excavators (weighing 20 tons), and since January 2011, the plant also began to assemble a model 336 tracked excavator (36 tons) on the lines of the plant.

The Cat320D2 and Cat336D2 excavators are versatile machines for a wide range of jobs with optional hydraulic lines and quick couplers standard on the machines.

Don't forget the traditional features and benefits of Cat excavators that the D2 Series inherits. First of all, it is the reliability and durability of welded structures manufactured on modern robotic equipment. Booms and sticks of medium and heavy excavators are subjected to additional heat treatment, which makes it possible to install larger buckets, increasing the excavator's productivity. The capsule hydraulic filter prevents contamination of the hydraulic system during maintenance work. Color-coded wiring, oil sampling valves, and pressure gauge valves allow faster and more accurate fault diagnosis.

The Cat Product Link control and monitoring system installed as standard deserves special attention. Now you can track the location, the main parameters of the machine and fuel drain via the Internet.

It is important for customers to have two temperature versions for the middle zone and for the Far North regions, where additional requirements are imposed not only on starting the engine, but also on seals, lubrication and operating fluids. The machines differ in the execution of the working equipment. So, for work in quarries, excavators are supplied with a shortened and reinforced boom and stick, thereby achieving greater productivity and fuel efficiency. Original Cat attachments can be added to the machine: hydraulic hammers, rock, leveling and narrow buckets, various grabs.
